I am the 1 Percent. I pay for 40% of the Federal Income Tax while the Bottom 50% pay none of the Income Tax. I receive none of the benefits of Social Programs that my Tax dollars go into. I work hard to pay for your programs, yet I am repeatedly, figuratively, beaten over the head by the media and the Liberal Left. No one sees the hypocracy in this.

If you make 300+k a year, it’s in large part because of the regulatory structure, subsidies, trade treaties, shipping lines (both ports and roads) that are paid for by the government. If your tax burden is larger, it’s because the system benefits you to a much greater extent than it does those who make next to nothing.

Further, the Income tax is not the only tax my fox-news-watching friend. People who pay no federal income tax may still pay state and local taxes (not to mention sales tax). They also don’t have expense accounts, tax accountants, mortgage interest rate deductions, or any of the other tricks the 1% use to hide the money they actually make. Check out the difference between capital gains and income tax that lets you pay so much less on the money made by your investments than the 99% pay on their salaries.

Last, it’s spelled hypocrisy. For someone who makes so much money, perhaps you should invest in a spell-checker.

My advice: turn the volume down on O’Reilly and read about actual economics before you run your mouth on the unfairness of life for the top 1%
